Kick: Another term for bounce. Usually an unpredictable or erratic bounce. |
| Kill: To smack a long shot |

Knife: Slang term applied to a #1 iron due to its lack of loft. |
| Knock Out: A competiton usually matchplay where only the winner or team goes on to the next round. |

Knock-Down: Shot, intentionally played to keep a ball low in the wind. By reducing the length of a backswing and playing the ball back in the stance, a knock-down shot is played. |
| Kolbe, Kolf, Kolven, Kolve: An earlier form of golf played in Holland which dates back to 1296. The Game we know developed on Scottish Linksland. |

Kweek grass: Fine species of grass indigenous to South Africa, less than ideal on golf courses as it is extremely difficult to play on. |
